Our members are from all walks of life, including beginners as well as advanced growers, who have an interest and involvement ranging from the dabbling hobbyist to those most seriously afflicted with the "orchid bug"! The common denominator among members is a passion for the most diverse plant family on the planet. If you're just getting started, this is the best place to come for information, growing tips, and sound advice. Whether you have 2 plants, 200 plants, or 2,000 plants, this is where you'll get the right answers to your questions.
Membership dues are $25 per year for a single membership by e-mail, $35 for a single membership by US mail for those with e-mail, and $35 per year for a joint membership by email. This includes a monthly newsletter, a project plant, library privileges, plant judging eligibility, access to our meetings, and entering plants in shows held by other orchid societies. Some of our activities include twice-yearly "members plants" auctions (a great opportunity to obtain plants at reasonable prices), a spring show held at Milaeger's in Racine, WI, a display at the Wisconsin State Fair in August, a fall show at the Mitchell Park Domes in September, and a Holiday party in December.
